ASA Agatha Christie Sea Swim lge 19th September 2010
Time: 12.30pm onwards

Join us for this glorious swim in the beautiful calm waters of Tor Bay.  The swim, a mile long, follows a stunning route along the coastline of Paignton, between the beaches of Goodrington and Broadsands.

These were among the favourite swimming spots of the world-famous authoress, Agatha Christie, whose home at Greenway is just a stone’s throw away.  As you swim, you’ll pass a series of little inlets - Saltern Cove, Shell Cove and Crystal Cove - and fascinating geological features including 400 million year old fossils and the intriguing Armchair Rock.

The swim is suitable for both athletic swimmers and those who prefer a more leisurely pace, taking in the views.

At Broadsands, there will be a 1930s party complete with jazz band, and barbeque, so you can celebrate your swim in fine style.   Vintage buses will be waiting to take you back to your car at Goodrington when you are ready.   We aim to make it a fun and stylish day out, not just for swimmers but for their friends and families too.

There is an entry fee of £20 to take part in the swim,  and you enter online here .

We are also encouraging everyone to raise as much sponsorship as possible but do not feel under pressure to do this.

If you do wish to fundraise, you can do so online by setting up a justgiving page.  Alternatively if you would prefer a sponsor pack please email l.board@daat.org

This event would not have been possible without the help and support of many people.  Thank you to:-
